Although it is quite small there is plenty to do and see should you have a holiday in Northern Ireland. It really is one of the undiscovered jewels of the British Isles that deserves a visit. It is rich in history and is blessed with some of the most stunning natural landscapes. Northern Ireland is serviced by two airports the International and the domestic one of George Best, which is very good and is right in the heart of Belfast. Belfast is an ancient city with a rich history. The Crown Bar is worth a visit and pint of Guinness the celebrated black brew of Ireland but one of the most exciting places to visit is the Harland and Wolf Shipyards and the Titanic exhibition. The famously doomed ship was built here launched. There is a fully interactive gallery and you can see the process of the shop belong built and the story of its sad one and only journey. The ring road around Strangford Lough is a beautiful drive. This lake connects to the Irish sea and at its mouth is the picturesque small town of Porta ferry. This is a nice spot to have an ice cream and watch the world go by. A quick trip on the ferry is always pleasant. On the western side of the Lough there is the stately house of Castle Ward, home to Winterfell in Game of Thrones and there are great panoramic views of the area from Scrabo Tower. On the Eastern side there is the wonderful garden and house of Mount Stewart.

In the North on the Coast of Antrim there is the must-see Giants Causeway. The legendary bridge to Scotland built by the giant Finn Mac Cool it is in fact a series of hexagonal basalt columns formed over millennia. The sound of the waves and the unspoilt seaside is a breath-taking sight. To the west is the seaside town of Port Stewart strand which boasts a blue flag beach of beautiful sand and even surfing. We’ve saved the best for last. The rope bridge of Carrick a rede is a hair-raising experience and a great thrill to cross, if you dare. If you don’t its still worth a look to marvel at those that do!
