How does an air conditioning system work?

If you have ever sweltered in a heatwave either in the home or the office you will know that one of the most blessed relief that you can feel is if the place has an air conditioning system. You might begin to take it for granted as that cool breeze plays through the place without really knowing how the system that provides it works. Here is a very brief rundown of what an air con system does and how it makes somewhere a better place. If you are thinking of getting a system installed then an Air con Gloucester based company like ACCEC are by far the best option for you to use.

An air con system works in similar ways to a fridge. That uses and maintains cold air to cool. The main difference here is that a fridge works in a small enclosed space which actually aids the process whereas an air con system, whilst also using cool air, is over a large space.

What the air con unit does is actually very simple. It takes the warm air and by using a system of metal ducts it converts this air to cool by removing the warmth from it. Here is where the science kicks in. Using a chemical mixture the warm air is turned into liquid and then back into air, this time cool again. Via a system of a compressor and condensers this hot air is sucked into the air con at one end and exits as cool at the other.
